Gimbal handle

Gimbal handle

I made this handle to convert a quadcopter gimbal into a handheld gimbal. This initial design has a rough finish but works fully. If you want to use it, keep in mind that parts were created specifically to fit my gimbal and battery. Other gimbal models or batteries may not be compatible. The gimbal I used is shown here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131789425404. The battery I used is available at: http://www.gearbest.com/rc-helicopter-parts/pp_228781.html. A hole in the top cover allows you to add a switch, found at https://www.amazon.com/20pcs-Black-Switch-Electronic-Projects/dp/B008R50AA0, but I didn't have time to install it before testing. The top cover is designed for permanent use, with the bottom one serving as the battery compartment. You can access the battery and charge it through this compartment. I also attempted to create a small enclosure for the gimbal electronics (visible in the photo), but the result was unsatisfactory and I ended up using hot glue to hold it in place. Mounting holes are designed for M3 screws, with spaces provided for M3 nuts. However, the gaps are so narrow that placing a nut is extremely difficult. Since the holes themselves are also tight for an M3 screw, nuts are not necessary.
