Many times the rubbers don't have the appropriate hardness for the weight of the gimbal and the camera, and this vibrates or has bounces, producing a gelatinous effect in the recording. Shortening the travel path of the rubber with this tensor gives us more hardness: in other words, if your rubbers are soft, you can harden them up and get rid of the bounces from a soft rubber that ruins the recording. If on the other hand your rubbers are too hard, this doesn't serve any purpose whatsoever.
