The ornate reliquary boasts dimensions of 21 cm in length, approximately 12 cm in width, and a height of about 15 cm. The base pedestal, known as the "xumizuo" or Sumeru dais, measures 23.4 cm long, 17 cm wide, and stands at a height of 12 cm. The surface is intricately embedded with white jade, red agate, beads, and other precious stones. Delicate silver wire spirals adorn the top of the reliquary to represent chattras, or royal parasols, often associated with Buddhist stupas. Two bodhisattvas are depicted standing guard at the front doors of the coffin, while the side panels display Buddha's disciples overcome with grief. Dating back to the Tang dynasty (618-907), this relic was unearthed in 1985 from the crypt of the Qingshansi Pagoda in China. The Xi'an Municipal Museum in Lintong District proudly showcases this ancient treasure.
