I am designing an interlock board for our makerspace's K40 laser cutter, and I used a Gikfun Mini Solderable Breadboard to do it efficiently. However, I needed a way to secure the device in the laser with stable corners, as the holes are centered on the board and cause instability if you're pressing on it heavily. I am using plastic velcro to mount mine securely, but you could also drill holes if you prefer. I have included an .stl file of my design and an .f3d file from Fusion 360 in case you want to modify it easily. The mounting holes in the support columns are precisely 2.4 mm in diameter. You can tap the plastic with 3 mm screws or use a #4 screw to attach it firmly.
