Gigameter Custom Parts

Finishing parts for ERankLuck's Gigameter model is in full swing. This project is a work in progress, and I'm still waiting to assemble everything fully. As it stands, most of this is conceptual and untested. You've been warned! Release 2 - 3/24/2017: The Motor Base was split into two separate parts: the Motor Shaft and the Base, making it easy to print them separately. The Dome was redesigned to fit a D-Shaft 3mm gearmotor perfectly. Dome parts successfully test fit against both the original model and Kit Kraft's 89mm Dome. Release 3 - 3/26/2017: Ears were successfully converted into gear drives! I decided to write a quick printing guide, which you can find in the files and in the sketchup files .zip. I've also updated the Ear and Servo mount model to clear the new ear gears, as well. Release 4 - 4/1/2017: It's not an April Fools joke! Two new models were added: left and right handle halves that incorporate a levered microswitch opening with mounting bosses. The thumbwheel pot opening was also removed from the handles. At this point, all models have been tested and are on a fully assembled Gigameter. However, I will likely update this one more time to incorporate a speaker mount into the battery box cover, as it's a good place for one. Release 5 - 4/11/2017: The speaker-grille battery box door was added, along with version 1.2 firmware for the Arduino. Gigameter.winproj.zip, which includes the project file and sounds required to program the WT588-16p prop sound chip used in this project, is also available now. This includes the boot-up and running sounds. Electronics are complete - See the thread on GBFans Forums. For now, I'm removing the WIP tag. A fully built Gigameter using these models works great! Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 200 Micron Infill: Varies Notes: FOLLOW THE PRINTING GUIDE. Also, print the Dome Base Plate FIRST and test fit it against the Kit Kraft 89mm dome you'll be using to assemble this thing. You may have to size up your model to account for shrinkage (4-7% for PLA alone). Print EVERYTHING at that increased size so that it all lines up.
