It is the upper part of your graphics card which fits standard 92 mm x 25 mm fans like the, Arctic F9 PWM or the Noctua NF-B9 redux and much more It was originally designed and tested on a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 WINDFORCE 2X 8G (rev. 3.0) even though it should fit on any other Gigabyte Windforce 2X (=2 Fans) design, no matter if you are running 2060, 2070, 2070 Super, 2080, etc. The improvement from factory to this version is impressive. It will transform your 2 slots low-budget GPU into a professional 3 slots height version, lowering noise and temperature emissions dramatically. On stock, you will run constantly into "thermal throtteling", not using the full potential and usually having around 80 °C on the chip and 100 °C in the hot spot with the fans spinnning at 100% (3500 UPM) surrounded by horrible noises. In idle, you will have the fans running at least at 33 %. If the bearings are already older and worn out (which can happen already after some weeks when you buy it new) it will constantly produce distracting noises. With this upgrade you will have, for example: 65 °C core temperature 1300 UPM (70 % PWM) Zero spinning (0%) fans at idle which results in an almost unnoticeable setup. Everything what you will need is: 3 printed parts from this creation (housing front, housing back, cover) 2 92x25 mm Standard 4 Pin PWM FANs VGA PWM Adapter, e. g. from Gelid Solutions or Phobya which costs around 5 € eventually a 4 PIN PWM splitter which costs around 3 € if you are not using Arctic fans (which have a male and female connector therefore beeing able to be interconnected)
