I disclaim any responsibility for your or your graphics card condition before, during, or after installation. This mod is intended to reduce noise levels of the GTX 1070. Typical temp on my system playing PUBG is 65 deg C, with a fan speed of +-1000 RPM. It's highly recommended to use an advanced fan controller (e.g. Corsair Commander Pro) to control fan speed based on GPU temperature. You will need: 2 M3x20 bolts 2 M3 nuts 4 3.2 mm washers 1 Noctua NF-A14 PWM (or similar) Installation description: 1. Remove the 7 bolts holding cooler to card. 2. Carefully remove cooler and disconnect fan connector. 3. Remove 2 bolts in each end of cooler, then remove fan shroud (4 bolts total). 4. It's recommended to replace thermal paste and inspect condition of thermal pads. Replace if necessary. 5. Slide main parts of new fan mod onto cooling block. Offset part should face outwards (power connector side). 6. Bolt two parts together with M3 bolts, nuts, and washers. 7. Glue end stops on each side of new fan mod to prevent it from sliding off. 8. Install fan using complimentary Noctua fan mounts. 9. Install new cooler on card in opposite order of steps 2 and 1. 10. Enjoy! Update 2019-11-10: Added GPUduct1V2 and GPUduct2V2. These mods are similar to the tilted one, but with only two parts and fastened to cooler with 4 short M3 screws for durability. Only tighten screws against card ribs. Prints and works fine in PLA.
