Made a customized gift box for my niece's 6th birthday. You can easily adjust its size according to your preference. The original box measures 10cm wide, but I scaled it down by 25% during printing, resulting in a compact 7.5cm wide design. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer Model: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: A precise 0.25mm detail Infill: Strategically filled with 24% infill density for optimal strength Notes: When gifting nieces, it's always a great idea to choose their favorite colors - pink or purple work beautifully. To assemble the box correctly, flip the lid upside down and ensure the widest part rests flat on the print bed. Post-Assembly Instructions: Assemble the Box Glue the heart-shaped decorative element onto the lid. I used an adhesive specifically designed for bonding with hard plastics, which worked wonderfully. Other suitable options include cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) with a kicker or 2-component glue. While I haven't tried it myself, hot snot might also be effective in this case. How I Designed This Gift Box I embarked on a quest to find the perfect gift box, but none of the existing designs met my expectations. The lid often didn't fit properly, which was frustrating. So, I decided to create my own custom design from scratch. My goal was to make it easy to print and visually appealing with rounded corners and sufficient clearance for the lid to fit snugly.
