Gibson Bell Truss Rod Cover for Les Paul Guitar
thingiverse
After converting mhorry's Epiphone TRC into a perfect fit for my Gibson LP DC Special, I decided to push the limits and create an exact replica of the bell-shaped cover that came on the guitar. It's not flawless, but it captures the essence of my original design with remarkable accuracy. Screw holes are precisely 52 mm apart, ensuring compatibility with most Gibson guitars featuring a 2-hole TRC system. I've included both STL files: one for a blank version and another for the example I created. These models will serve as a great starting point for anyone looking to create their own custom guitar cover. As a relatively new user of 3D printing technology, this project marked my first attempt at designing something entirely from scratch. Starting with a JPEG image of my original TRC, I fine-tuned and refined the design until it was ready for printing.
