The Giant's Grave, a Scheduled Monument, at St Andrews Church, Penrith, Cumbria, is formed by four hogback arrangements. Hogback stones are narrow ridged tomb markers built for Anglo-Saxon or Scandinavian elites from 8th to 10th centuries AD. Originally located elsewhere, these stones were re-arranged in 1720-22 during the church's rebuilding when their original sites became unknown. Local residents protested and saved the hogbacks from being used as a culvert material. Photos taken June 2019 with a Nikon D5500 show the Giant's Grave. Each photo has been individually processed to highlight its features, available on my sketchfab page.
