Here is my revised entry for the Monster Hunter 3D Printing Competition: the Colossus' Cudgel with a Kinsect perched atop from Monster Hunter Generations. Please resize and slice as needed; my 3D printer has limited capabilities due to its small printbed. I've designed the body thick, anticipating modifications that will eventually transform it into a functional pen.
