cults3d
A formidable ball pyramid challenge created by Leonard Gordon, designed before 1980 by his brother Jerry Gordon. For several years, this puzzle was available in clear polystyrene form through Kadon Enterprises, as shown in these photos. Learn more about the history of this puzzle here. In 2019, Kadon's inventory of parts depleted, making it impossible to purchase this puzzle; however, you can print one yourself from this location. This ball-pyramid puzzle stands out for its extreme difficulty. The original puzzle's solving time ranges from "one hour to a year or more." The final shape achieved is a tetrahedron with 5 balls aligned along an edge. The total count of pieces is 9, and the number of balls amounts to 35. There exists only one correct solution! A document detailing this puzzle, including its solution, can be downloaded from this webpage.
