These large mollusks retreat into their hardy shells when threatened, and they’re particularly susceptible to being injured by contact with salt. The merchant snail has 2 heads and spines all over its body. Its house is adorned with several sacks full of herbs and spices. On top is a box full of valuables, which is also used as a saddle. On either side is a saddlebag and scrolls with magical sayings, recipes or poems. The back of the house is adorned with a huge barrel full of liquid.
