This remarkable ground sloth, right humerus VCU_3D_3327, was expertly collected by Charles Washburn in 1921 from Argentina's Rio Negro Province. On February 26, 2018, the Smithsonian Natural History Museum Department of Paleobiology successfully scanned this specimen using a Go!Scan 50. The team is grateful for the assistance provided by Alton Dooley at Western Science Center, Chris Widga at Grey Fossil Site, and particularly Robert K. McAfee from Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in identifying this 3D model.
