Giant Christmas Ball Kit
thingiverse
These are the main hubs at the top and bottom of a gigantic Christmas sphere. The frame is constructed from half-inch PEX pipe. Each sphere demands one top hub and one bottom, plus twelve 48-inch sections of PEX. This creation was designed using Tinkercad. It can be edited online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/3B3VL2oGsYW and https://www.tinkercad.com/things/jwNY1RkIqmK. Printing Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution:.3mm Infill: 5% Notes: I printed these in PLA at a temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit, with a bed level set to sixty degrees. The nozzle diameter was half an inch and the printing surface had been prepped with glue stick and AquaNet. I deliberately limited the infill percentage to five percent due to the structural integrity provided by merged pipes and the shell's geometry. Before producing the main components, verify fit using the test piece.
