Giant Barrel Sponge

This massive barrel sponge, known as Xestospongia muta, can reach an impressive height of almost two meters and thrives in large numbers just off the coast of Roatan in Honduras, often alongside even larger specimens.\nUnderwater photos were taken during a scuba diving excursion, resulting in fewer than 50 images captured with a 15mm fisheye lens. These photographs underwent processing using Agisoft Metashape Standard software.
