Sept 7, 2021 - I have just uploaded a generic version of this model that can be used for both GI Joe and Cobra https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4958165 *Please note, the alignment nubs on the top of the chassis need to be removed before assembly. I will update the file very soon without nubs. I am pleased to share with all of you my model of the classic GI Joe vehicle, the Vamp. It is modeled in the original 3 3/4" size of GI Joe figures, if you want to print it to fit your Classified scale figures, upscale each part by 165% in your slicer. There should be no supports required when printing this model. Make sure to lay all flat surfaces flat on your print bed. Ideally you should have a smooth or glass bed. I use 5% infill for all parts which is plenty. When I assemble a vehicle, I use Gorilla Glue's Super Glue. The one with the blue cap. You can assemble the body and paint it green, Krylon's Olive Green is great color to use for this model. The rest of the parts should be painted with a grey black if you want to match the original toy. You may have to run a drill bit through the wheels to get them to spin smoothly on the axles, make sure you cover the ends of the axles with tape before paint as the paint will prevent the wheels from rotating smoothly. Use the axle caps glue into the center of the axle to keep the wheel attached. If you have questions about the placement of each part, refer to the photo I have attached which shows all of the parts laid out, it will help you with the general placement of that part. If you have other questions, don't be afraid to message me here or on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/JoesGIJoes. I welcome any remixes and would love to see what you guys can do with my model. *If anyone has a good source for upscaled white backed decals please let me know. I have been searching for a while. UPDATE: I have split the chassis into 3 sections for those who have a smaller printer and cannot print the entire thing in one piece.
