GI Joe Tomahawk
thingiverse
The Tomahawk helicopter stands as one of the most impressive models in the entire lineup. It has the capability to transport a squad of soldiers on any adventure, wherever you desire. I didn't have this toy in hand when modeling it, so I relied on blueprints, online pictures, and some estimates. Although the file is created at full scale, it's optimized for printing at 25%. If you print outside of that range, your model may end up with too much or too little detail. A huge thank you to Chris, who provided some crucial dimensions from his old toy. Without him, this wouldn't have been possible. My finished model weighs in at 32 grams, and it cost me approximately 71 cents for the material to print it. There's a special note about an alternate rotor assembly, which you can use if you're unable to fit the one-piece design on your print bed. I test printed both versions, but I would opt for the one-piece if possible. This file is free to download, but please be aware that it's listed as "non-commercial" because it's a copy of someone else's intellectual property and not my original design. You're not allowed to buy or sell physical copies of this 3-D model, but you are permitted (and encouraged) to print copies for your personal use. If you've downloaded this file from a source other than my site on thingiverse.com, they did so without my permission. Thank you for respecting me and the rights of the original copyright holder. I have immense respect and gratitude for past and present members of our Armed Forces - they are the real American heroes. Their sacrifice enables people like me to live in peace, freedom, and create silly little toys such as these.
