The Tactical Battle Platform launched in 1985 soared into position via four Dragonfly helicopters. Without having the toy in hand when modeling it, I relied on blueprints, online pictures, and estimates to create a detailed representation. The file was designed at full scale but optimized for printing at 25% to ensure accurate results. Printing outside this range may result in excessive or insufficient detail. I extend heartfelt gratitude to Chris for supplying critical dimensions from his vintage toy. Without his contribution, this model would not have been possible. My finished model weighs 44 grams and cost approximately $1.05 to print using the material. I express deep respect and gratitude to past and present members of our Armed Forces, who embody the spirit of "Real American Heroes." Their sacrifices ensure we live in peace, freedom, and can create simple toys like this model. Printing Tips: 1. To avoid complications, use supports when necessary. The file is designed with minimal support material in mind, so orienting parts with their bottom closest to the build plate will minimize visible supports. 2. Long, thin parts such as antennas, missiles, and gun barrels should be oriented horizontally for added strength during printing. 3. The weapons and crane share a common post size, allowing you to mix and match components as needed. 4. To assemble the model, you'll need three long support legs and one short leg.
