GI Joe mountain howitzer
thingiverse
The gun was designed using an original toy and a pair of calipers measuring 6 inches in length. Although presented at full scale, I optimized it to print well at 25% size, and beyond this range may result in excessive or insufficient detail. The gun fits snugly onto the carriage, allowing you to raise and lower the angle just like the real toy. Additionally, I added support material under the axle, providing a larger surface area for gluing the tires and preventing them from shearing off once complete. I modeled each part with supports included, but due to its small size, it was relatively easy to clean off the excess material. The gun carriage was printed with the top surface facing upwards, as the underside of each part is the least visible, minimizing any residue from support material. Printing the gun with the barrel pointing up proved more successful. The tires should be printed with the hubcaps facing upwards and no supports at all. I extend my deepest respect and gratitude to the men and women serving in our Armed Forces (past and present). Your sacrifices enable people like me to live in peace and freedom, making you true American heroes. These files were created by me and are available for free download under "non-commercial" terms.
