GI Joe M.M.S.

GI Joe M.M.S.

The M.M.S. stands for Mobile Missile System.\nThis model was crafted using my own custom toy and a pair of 6-inch calipers. Although the file is presented at full scale, I designed it to be optimized when printed at 25%. If you stray from that range, it may end up with too much or too little detail.\nThe turret rotates after assembly but the missiles, which are attached by glue, do not aim up and down. \nThe chassis and turret were printed with supports. To remove them all from the hole in the turret, I used a drill bit. The missiles were printed pointing upwards, but you might have better luck printing them lying down - it's something I may try at some point but for now I've got everything I need. The tires should be printed with the hubcaps facing up, without supports.\nGreat respect and thanks to the men and women of our Armed Forces (past and present). Your sacrifices allow people like me to live in peace and freedom. You are the real American heroes.\nThe files were created by me and they're free for download. Please note that it's listed as non-commercial use only. Neither you nor I can buy or sell physical copies of this 3D model. You're allowed (and encouraged) to print copies for your personal use. If you've been redirected here from a source other than my site on thingiverse.com, they haven't done so with my permission.
