GI Joe 1988 Warthog AIFV Replacement Door Hinge
thingiverse
This is a model for a 1988 GI Joe Warthog AIFV replacement door hinge. In the toy picture included above, both left hinges and the lower right hinge are 3D printed replacements while the upper right one is an unbroken original. This was a commonly broken part on this toy and I have recreated it using measurements from an original part, but I did reinforce the tabs to make them more robust and harder to break off. I recommend putting the door in place and then using some superglue gel on the sides of the base to secure it. Credit for the original idea goes to runmeridian (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4929207) since I used his method of mounting his hinges with mine. However, his design did not allow use of the original doors without modification whereas this one does. The parts should fit snugly on an original toy, but there could also be slight variances between printers and exposure that could affect the fit. I recommend printing this on the same edge that I have the models oriented on and using supports since this will provide the greatest layer strength. Best of luck in completing your vintage GI Joe Warhog and Yo Joe! ***** LICENSE NOTES: Please note that the license for this model is non-commercial.
