Original Design & Concerns The original CountSpatula plans use two 3D printed discs. One is glued to the bottom of the foot plate, while the bottom screws into the base. They contain a small "lip" that is designed to keep the rubber tube connecting them from slipping off. In practice, this design puts a lot of pressure on the rubber tube as well the lips can easily become dislodged allowing the pedal plate to swing open causing possible damage. From an aesthetic point of view, with the rubber tube fully extended it causes the angle on the foot pedal to be way too high. The Idea In this remixed design I wanted to find a way to attach a wire to the foot pedal to to keep it anchored in place and allow me to adjust the hieght and angle of the pedal. If you look on the original pedal, you can see a wire inserted into two holes which kept the pedal in place. This is a simple solution except on this trap the wire can't go directly down through the centre as it would interfere with the switch electronics. So, the idea was to find a way to direct a wire on each side to give it equal force, move freely of the electronics and to be adjustable to some degree. The Remix These files are designed to solve the issue above as well as a few quality of life improvements. Includes a Jig to help line up and drill holes. Added cutouts for nuts to allow the bottom disc to be bolted in place instead of using wood screws Added a second mount/stopper for the micro-switch to eliminate twisting of the foot pedal when pressed.
