Ghostbusters Proton Proton Pack Wand Pop Mechanism

This is a custom-designed proton pack wand pop mechanism that I've engineered to fit snugly inside the wand gunbox. It relies on two rubber bands and a trigger activated by the green-handled lever that protrudes outside of the gunbox. The locking "hooks" were inspired by a bottle opener gun, which I thought had a perfect design. This model was specifically created for this particular gunbox: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:575218. The small end of it fits comfortably inside a 1-inch PVC pipe. This project is still in progress and has required a lot of trial and error to get right. Update 5/9/2020: I've included all of the parts as the design stands for now, and I'm continuing to prototype and refine my ideas. Your suggestions are always welcome. I've made four different connector pieces for wands of various sizes or for other uses if someone needs them. I've also included a pin for the clear tubing connector at the tip of the wand. Update 8/8/2020: All parts have been retooled, and the main tube has been reconfigured to have a lower profile. I'm still working on perfecting the prototype.
