Ghostbusters Proton Pack Prop Parts
thingiverse
In August 2011, my friend and I visited Wizard World Chicago. There, we met two individuals wearing Proton Packs who were taking photos for charity. This encounter inspired us to consider creating our own Proton Packs before Halloween. However, we soon realized that making a Proton Pack is quite expensive due to its unique parts. Consequently, I decided to 3D-print all the hard-to-find components to save costs. The 3D printed parts are nearly identical to the original ones, although not entirely screen accurate. For more information and photos, visit my Flickr album here: [link]. Additionally, parts for a matching Particle Wand are available on Thingiverse here: [link], and a video demonstration can be found on YouTube here: [link]. To understand the Proton Pack's parts list and their placements, refer to Stefan Otto's Prop Plans available at [link]. The Proton Pack Parts List includes: pp_BoosterFrame, pp_BoosterRounds, pp_BoosterTubeInsert, pp_ClippardValve, pp_CrankKnob, pp_DalePH25, pp_DaleRH25, pp_HGA, pp_IonArmBottom, pp_IonArmTop, pp_NFilter, pp_PPD, pp_PVCCaps, pp_ShockMount, and pp_ThrowerMount.
