Create a Ghostbusters' PKE Meter toy based on the movie's shoe polisher for your 7-year-old nephew who loves ghost hunting. The project is ongoing, and you can see pictures illustrating the electronics. Focusing on building the case, use 7/8" aluminum angle to connect the bottom handle and base; plastic may not be strong enough. Consider replacing plastic posts with 1/4" brass rods for additional strength. Secure each part with epoxy glue and apply acetone to prevent delamination. Use 4-40 screws to assemble the case. The electronics require careful planning and a robust servo, as a cheap miniature servo may not suffice. Expect approximately 30 hours of work, including electronics setup. A video demonstrating the PKE Meter's functionality is available for download. Remember, when you see a ghost, "Who ya gonna call?"
