So! There are many of these on here but I think mine is pretty great. I used some images of screen used connectors and some dimensions pulled from another connector to make this abomination. The other connector used small magnets that didn't work well so, with the rush of the new movie coming out and needing to have this done, I made it work with what I could find: hook magnets at harbor freight and a big honking UDJ fender washer from Lowes. The best part is the hook is threaded so I can use an M4 screw/washer to hold the magnet tight into the part instead of fighting with glue.

If you want to use the magnet but make itlook sewn, then just wrap some thread around the holes to look like you did extra work and just pocket the magnet to grab onto through your pants. Huzzah! Alternatively, you could forgo the magnet entirely and just sew this part on and just turn your suit inside-out to wash (which you probably should be anyway to protect your patches and weathering).

TBH I'm super proud of this but my computer crashed right after exporting the STL and Fusion didn't autosave for some reason so I can't edit this beyond scaling in my slicer. Oh well, Its pretty great as-is. You could scale the Z up to 101 or 102% as my magnets stuck down just a tiny smidge. I would not scale the X or Y as that's pretty tight.

The file that I used as a few dimensions is also what I used for the plug and clip into the hose so props to that creator. I could just tell you to go to his file and snag them but I've included them in my upload instead for I am a Generous God so here is a link instead if you want to see how they work. No magnet in the base needed, the pocket now goes over the screw head used to fasten the magnet into the base of my connector.

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2188222

UPDATE 11-20-21:

I assembled my leg hoses for the movie showing last night for my friends and I and I made a couple small changes.

First, I forgot to mention the slot just under the top of the connector is for a zip tie! Its originally for compressing the original rubber prop around the pee hose to hold it in place but on my printed part its just for show but looks rather nice IMO.

Second, the Harbor Freight magnet isn't super strong and the connector has a tendency to pop off the pocket washer. I had extra magnets so I used a screwdriver to pry one out of the metal holder and super glued it to the back of the washer. This greatly increased the strength of the pull before it can pop off.

Third, the plug on the end of the hose that sticks into the connector was a little loose too and could either be scaled up and reprinted or just wrap a tiny piece of tape around the vinyl hose to snug its fit in the hole.

Fourth, I forgot to mention how I did the tubing. I used clear vinyl tubing from Lowes (about $5 for 10 feet, $10 for 20 feet) with 3/8" ID and 1/2" OD. I then dyed it in a bucket for a couple hours using 3-4 urinary relief pills dissolved in hot water; use gloves or you WILL be yellow for a few days. Dry the hoses and just press the printed belt clip and connector plug into the ends.

Lowes Item #879263, Model #98620 https://www.lowes.com/pd/EZ-FLO-3-8-in-Inner-Diameter-x-10-ft-PVC-Clear-Vinyl-Tubing/1000365031
Category: Costume
