I used film references, notes from the crew and detailed photos of the SDCC proton pack and Olympia pack to create this model. The design is scaled from known objects on the pack, taking into account perspective distortion and other factors. I cross-checked measurements among different sources to ensure accuracy. While I can't guarantee 100% accuracy without first-hand access to the real thing, it should be very close. This model was created with the hope of helping prop builders out there. A note: the side bolts change positions from pack to pack, and I based this position on the SDCC Holtzmann pack. The top rivets appear consistent among different packs, except for one that has more rivets and appears to be a larger box in general. I included different handles at various stages of completion, so you can tweak this design if needed. If you don't feel it's 100% exact yet, I hope these tools will help. The centered handle above the lid is designed to fit a 5-inch wide, 2-inch tall and half-inch deep handle hole. It's made to be used with a 4mm cap bolt, which should recess about halfway into the side holes just like on the screen-used packs. The bolts thread into the handle itself, allowing it to move freely without nuts on the other side. This design was created using Tinkercad and can be edited online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/iAe5l9pZVzb.
