Ghost Trap
myminifactory
I designed this Ghostbusters ghost trap to be as simple as possible to assemble and print. Although I've modeled and included a printable body, I designed this to utilize a 158 x 90 x 60mm electronics project box for rigidity, with the 3d printed handle and lid bolted on with M3 bolts. For the hinge on the doors, I modeled a hole to fit 1.75mm filament, although I opted for 2mm brass rod for strength. I utilized a servo powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico in the pedal to control it, along with 3 AA batteries. I used an ethernet cord to carry the signal to the servo. I did also include a prototype air piston, that's up to you if you want to find a way to make that work. The pedal houses a 12mm momentary push button. If you have any questions about how this goes together, my Youtube video, while not a tutorial, will probably provide enough info to assist in assembly. https://youtu.be/SRQhy7jbkjY Please, feel free to remix, adjust, remake, and expand on this project. I designed it as a toy for my kids, but I would be very happy to see this go further. I just don't have a reason to take it further.
