These sculptures are part of a series featuring praying mantises in prayerful poses. Each model was created using photogrammetry techniques, followed by meticulous cleanup and refinement in meshmixer and blender software. The subject of this particular bust is an adult female ghost mantis, scientifically known as Phyllocrania paradoxa. Her 3D printed likeness will be showcased at the Kaneko museum in Omaha, Nebraska, as part of the Museum of Alternative History's upcoming exhibition. The event is scheduled to open its doors in June 2018.
