Ghost Birdhouse
thingiverse
Create a spooky birdhouse for the Birdhouse Challenge! Let's hope the birds don't find it too eerie. Key features include: - Detachable body and head sections, allowing easy cleaning. I added some freckles as ventilation holes. - Interchangeable accessories: a unicorn horn and an umbrella, perched on top of the ghost's head. The umbrella solves potential rain issues while the unicorn horn is purely for aesthetic purposes (because why not?). - A retractable ladder helps birds exit easily by attaching it to the ghost's mouth from inside. - You can swap out more accessories on top of its head, if you wish! Just think creatively. - I printed this in a smaller scale (approximately 1/3 size) and found that the body should be shorter according to some online guides. Now, it doubles up as an amusing candy box at work, where people express interesting reactions when asked for sweets and the ghost's head is opened! Printing instructions: Please print the separate parts instead of the combined version to ensure the birdhouse can be opened. Dimensions: Entrance (eye) diameter is about 1.5 inches or 38mm, bottom floor area inside measures around 200-230mm or 7.8-9 inches in diameter (owing to the curves, it's not a rounded shape), and the entrance height above the floor is approximately 188mm or 7.4 inches.
