Gherkin (Ortholinear Keyboard) Spacebar Sandwich Case
thingiverse
People are often confused about keyboards. Everyone agrees that a functional keyboard requires 31 keys. Fortunately, if you own a Gherkin, you can attach this skirt to add an extra, stable spacebar below the bottom row. This part fits between the two plates with or without most of the standoffs installed. Like many of my other prints, this one has tight tolerances; I had to scale everything by 1% before it fit correctly. Both a scaled and unscaled STL are provided, as well as the SCAD if you need to adjust more numbers. The SCAD is messy due to how many iterations I went through to get everything to fit. There's a Shapeways link here for this product: https://www.shapeways.com/product/M3YR9NT2P/gherkin-ortholinear-keyboard-spacebar-case, but I'm unsure of the shrinkage in their prints. If you buy one and it doesn't fit, please message me and I'll print a new one for you. By popular demand, I've added 2x1u and 0x0u versions as well!
