GG1 - Pennsylvania Locomotive in HO - 1:87 scale
cults3d
Hello Everyone! It's been quite some time since my last posts here. Now, the moment has finally arrived to share another train engine with you - General Electric GG1. This locomotive is crafted in 1:87 scale and I'm busy printing it right now. Currently, it's just a dummy loco, but I'm working on installing an electric motor so that it can run smoothly on standard 16.5 mm tracks - the HO standard. Note There are several very small parts, such as ladders, handles, horn, and insulators for the pantograph. I'm not sure if any FDM printer can handle these tiny details, so SLA/DLP is your best bet if you want perfect results. Speaking of the pantograph - there are thousands of metal-made pantographs available on the market. You'll just have to find the best pair on www.ebay.com. Note 2 I doubt that the complete model can be printed - it's more like a reference point.
