Get Shifty! USB Sequential gear shifter, for Asetto corsa, Dirt 3, all racing games!
thingiverse
Hi there Folks! This is Shifty, my first larger project on thingiverse. Shifty is a two-position sequential gear shifter for rally and race simulators, dirt 3, assetto corsa, and others. It uses an Arduino Pro Micro as a HID input device. No coding is required! Super simple assembly. Parts List: 3 x 45mm M3 bolts, 2 x 70mm M8 bolts, 4 x 20mm M2 self-tapping wood screws, 2 x M8 nuts, 3 x M3 nuts, 6 x M3 washer, 4 x M2 washer, 2 x 25mm x 5 x 5 springs (choose your own strength), 2 x micro switch with roller (~15 x 25mm without contacts), 1 x Arduino Pro Micro, genuine or clone, small amount of wire. 3D parts list: 1 x box, 1 x cover, 1 x handle, 1 x stick, 1 x foot, 1 x handle. Warning, this will only fit on tables thinner than 1.8 cm! For the Arduino Pro Micro: Solder the switches to pins 8 and 9, and obviously the other sides of the switch to ground. Then use this short Arduino sketch: http://puu.sh/vl936/cdfc35ba9d.ino Feedback is welcomed and encouraged. Print Settings: Printer Brand: FlashForge, Printer: Dreamer, Rafts: No, Supports: Yes, Resolution: 0.4, Infill: 40%, Notes: Requires a very high infill! At least 35%. This allows the table clamp to take tension, and gives the self-tapping wood screws something to hold onto. Supports are required for the box only. I used ABS on a glass bed with 3Dlac. I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't work with PLA or other material.
