Gerris 65 Build by Halitic ==================== ## Updates Find a highlighted Instagram story about the Gerris65 here: https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18092238541165888 I share my progress, some footage and photos on that account. ## The Project The project is called Gerris 65. It's a tiny whoop quadcopter designed for FPV (First Person View) flying. I built it to contribute to the development of smaller cinewhoops in the FPV community. ## Components To build this quad, you'll need the following components: - Meteor65 or Beta65x frame - 14000kv motors 080x - AIO 2S tiny whoop FC/ESC board with motor connectors - 2x BT2.0 battery connectors - stock BetaFPV VTX+Camera combination or TBS Nano Pro32 with stock antenna - RX receiver of your choice (I used TBS Crossfire and FrSky) - tiny whoop screw set - at least 2x 300mAh or 333mAh 1S LiPo batteries - HQ 3-bladed, 31mm, 1mm shaft props - 12x M1.4x4mm screws - bearing oil ## Software You'll also need: - 4x JESC license (available at http://jesc-4.halitic.de) - Betaflight 4.1x or newer (for RPM filtering) I flashed experimental 96khz with latest telemetry and used RPM filtering in Betaflight. ## Stripped / Naked GoPro usage To fly it with a naked GoPro was only a proof of concept. With 333mAh I got nearly 2 minutes of flight time. Maybe more when I landed mid-flight to let the LiPos recover a bit. Use the BEC described earlier and put it directly on vbat of the AIO board. The stripped GoPro mount is a remix of Paul's 95x which I just used in need of a quick mount. I think you can shave some g off of this (about 4.5g for the whole Gerris65 GoPro top mount). ## What's next? Well, I did this to contribute to some new development in the tiny cinewhoop section of FPV. Since I see them getting bigger and bigger, with 95x for DJI FPV digital and so on, I would also like to see them getting smaller. So I'm giving you this as a proof of concept and I'm super excited to see what you're doing with it. ## Share and Remix You're free to share and remix all of this for non-profit projects. You can link my Instagram account (would appreciate that) and use the hashtag #gerris65 if you want. ## Support If you think I deserve some support, a follow on [my Instagram](https://instagram.com/haliticfpv) would be appreciated.
