Note: it is preferable to download version 2 of this project: https://cults3d.com/fr/mod%C3%A8le-3d/maison/germoir-v2 This low-maintenance germoir requires less than 10 seconds per day, eliminating the hazardous manipulation of full tanks of water found in traditional germoirs with stages. It also does not require lengthy draining and is easy to clean. The design consists of two printed pieces and two glass jars with lids featuring six jam jar-style nets. The capacity of these pots can vary. Important: this germoir will not work with mucilage seeds, such as watercress or rocket. To get started: Place the siphon cap as shown in the pictures. Add seeds to germinate in the top pot (the larger one if they differ), using variable doses between 1 and 2 teaspoons. Screw both pots onto the printed part. To save time, you can let the seeds soak for a few hours. Using the germoir: Fill it with a little water as shown in the picture, stirring gently before placing it upright. The siphon will completely draw up the water, which will then fall into the pot below. During this process, the previous cycle's water will be drained off. Repeat 2-3 times daily until the seeds are ready to consume. Be aware of potential sealing issues between the top pot and the printed part. These problems may not originate from the printed piece itself. In my tests, I noticed significant dimensional differences among glass jars of the same model. You'll need to conduct some trials and choose a pot that doesn't leak.
