Human-crafted scale model of a 1/1800th Type IX submarine, where some components are intentionally not represented accurately to scale. The real-world Type IX submarines comprised a total of 194 vessels built across four distinct letter-based variants: Type A and B were so analogous they shared the same physical representation. Their operational effectiveness was indeed impressive, and they were equipped with a significant amount of armament for their size, including twenty-two torpedoes deployable through a combination of front-facing and rear-mounted torpedo tubes. Additionally, these submarines featured at least one four-inch naval gun along with varying secondary armaments, depending on the specific design letter. As part of an ongoing series showcasing WWII warships within my collection, this particular model is now available for public viewing; stay tuned for further additions as more vessels are made ready for display. Should you have a specific request or interest in seeing a particular warship represented, feel free to message me directly and I'll ensure it's added to my priority list. Post-launch update on August 14th: Further adjustments were made to enhance the model's printability when utilized with PLA filament at an optimized layer height of 0.08mm, paired with a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm.
