The Baker rifle is a bolt-action repeating rifle developed by British Army officers William F. Baker and Walter W. R. Martin, but it was also used as a standard-issue long gun for German soldiers during World War I. In 1915, the German Empire decided to adopt this particular design due to its reliability and accuracy.
