German Personalities for 15th and 16th Century Armies With a little creativity this group of Personalities can be used to represent a wide array of Commander or Special units.  Emperor Maximilian I (1459-1519):Role: Holy Roman EmperorContribution: Maximilian sought to reform and centralize the administrative structures of the Holy Roman Empire. He expanded the territories of the Habsburgs and was involved in several military campaigns, notably in Italy and against France. Götz von Berlichingen (1480-1562):Role: Imperial Knight and Mercenary LeaderContribution: Nicknamed "Götz of the Iron Hand" because of his prosthetic iron hand, he was involved in numerous campaigns and feuds in the Holy Roman Empire. He's also known for his autobiography, which provided insights into the era's chivalric and mercenary culture. Georg von Frundsberg (1473-1528):Role: Soldier and Leader of LandsknechtsContribution: Often referred to as the "Father of the Landsknechts," Frundsberg served Maximilian I and his successor Charles V. He played a significant role in the Italian Wars, particularly in the Battle of Pavia (1525) where French King Francis I was captured. Albrecht von Wallenstein (1583-1634):Role: Military Leader and PoliticianContribution: Although slightly later in the 16th century, Wallenstein played a pivotal role during the Thirty Years' War, serving Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II. His ability to raise armies and his innovative tactics made him one of the most powerful and controversial figures of the war. Sebastian Schertlin von Burtenbach (1496-1577):Role: Landsknecht LeaderContribution: A distinguished commander of the Landsknecht infantry, he participated in the Habsburg-Valois Wars, serving Emperor Charles V in various campaigns. Johann Tserclaes, Count of Tilly (1559-1632):Role: General during the Thirty Years' WarContribution: Leading the Catholic League's forces, Tilly was one of the most important commanders of his time. He was victorious at the Battle of White Mountain and played a crucial role in the early stages of the Thirty Years' War. Count Ernst von Mansfeld (1580-1626):Role: Mercenary CommanderContribution: Mansfeld was one of the most prominent mercenary leaders during the early stages of the Thirty Years' War. Initially serving the Holy Roman Emperor, he later sided with the Protestant cause. Sculpted by the incomparable Erramir Orlan of Peculiar Companions, are appropriate for use in armies depicting the final battles of the Hundred Years War, up through the Battle of Pinkie in 1547 and the twilight years of the Border Reivers. The models come in two poses with 8 total variants, both supported and unsupported. Printing at 100% resolution will yield a 28mm miniature. Prints at 105% are slightly more in scale with Perry Miniatures and 110% prints will be in a compatible scale with Warhammer Fantasy miniatures.
