1/1800th scale Elbing Class Destroyer model. Several key elements intentionally left in a reduced size ratio. The German Navy constructed fifteen vessels designated as the Elbing-class torpedo boats during the initial war years, although they were operationally categorized as torpedo boats. Nonetheless, these ships closely matched the specifications of medium destroyers. They carried an impressive armament consisting of four 4-inch guns and six mounted torpedo tubes in addition to integrated anti-aircraft weaponry. Out of this assembly of fifteen warships, eleven met their fate during wartime. This item represents a notable piece within my expanding collection of WWII-era warships.
