GepRC MX3 Sparrow Top Cover ( now with linear antenna mount)
thingiverse
I made a custom cover to ensure a perfect fit of my drawings while working on other ideas for the GepRC MX3 Sparrow Frame. This top cover is a great way to seal off the frame and protect your stack, fitting snugly against the curved alloy frames. I designed it to work seamlessly with the existing standoffs, leaving a cutout for the strap to pass through the holes in the frame so you can still mount a camera on top using a velcro strap. The first print sample in PETG fit perfectly over the standoffs after a quick clean-up of the holes. Tolerances are very precise, but if you use other filaments, it may not fit as well. I recently updated the design to include a hole and support for a linear antenna to pass through, which requires printing with support structures. You can now print your custom cover in PETG or other materials that match the precision of my original design.
