For example CURA almost surely will make your printer fill some hollow spaces even if they would not contain any support. I've carved some holes to fit those aluminium curved supports you can see in the photo. You can make them too to make it sturdier and let the air unit less exposed. There are also screw holes where you may not need, and the upper screws have no holes, so you should make your way in first with a screwdriver or similar.
