This home is designed to replicate several key elements of Georgian architecture. During the 1714-1830 era, Georgian-styled homes dominated the landscape, reflecting a period of colonization and the desire for symmetrical and formal-looking structures throughout English-speaking countries like the United States. Covering nearly two centuries from 1714 to 1830, the Georgian Period emerged after four successive Kings - George I through George IV - bore that same name. Occasionally, this term refers to buildings constructed during King William's reign, which lasted until 1837. This model bears a striking resemblance to the Tallis Home in Atonement, particularly in terms of its symmetrical similarities and expansive grounds. However, instead of simply recreating the Tallis Home, I drew upon my own creative vision as well as inspiration from the Bledisloe House in Gloucestershire, England, to craft a model that blends architectural styles from baronial Gothic (symmetrical aspects) and English Baroque.
