myminifactory
George Palmer, a renowned proprietor of Huntley & Palmers biscuit manufacturers in Reading, England, made a lasting impact on the region from January 18, 1818, until his passing on August 19, 1897. A majestic statue honoring George Palmer now proudly stands in Palmer Park. The sculpture was crafted by talented artist George Blackall Simonds and initially placed in Broad Street. The unveiling of the statue took place in 1891, coinciding with the grand opening of Palmer Park that same day. However, due to increasing traffic congestion caused by the statue's location, it was relocated to its current site in 1930. This remarkable object is part of the "Scan The World" initiative, a non-profit project launched by MyMiniFactory. Through this effort, we are creating a vast digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe that can be accessed for free by the public.
