Geometrical Ring Printed with Bronze Filament

Geometrical Ring Printed with Bronze Filament

myminifactory

This revolutionary design was crafted with a groundbreaking new bronze filament from Virtual Foundry, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in 3D printing. The innovative design was brought to life on a Raise 3D printer and then carefully placed inside a kiln for approximately five hours. Following this, it underwent a high-temperature firing process that transformed its appearance. Upon emerging from the kiln, the object had a distinctive, darkened finish. To achieve the desired result, the ring was meticulously hand-polished for about an hour. This meticulous process involved several stages: first, using a metal file to shape and smooth out the surface; next, progressing to low-grit sandpaper to refine the texture; and finally, employing high-grit sandpaper to create a polished finish. The final step consisted of applying steel wool to give it its signature shine. The end result is a stunning design that convincingly mimics an actual copper or bronze ring - all 100% created through cutting-edge 3D printing technology.
