The 3D model was created for Carter Lake Reservoir Quadrangle in Colorado, based on archival geological maps and cross-sections published by Braddock et al. in 1988. QGIS 3.8 software, supported by the QGIS2threejs plugin and Three.js Editor, was used to generate this model. It highlights laramian folds within the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in USA. Noticeably, symmetric and asymmetric folds are controlled by faulting of Proterozoic basement rock. The topography of such folded terrain is characterized by many steep and sharp strike ridges as well as hogback ridges.
