Geoffs Solder Holder/Pen

Geoffs Solder Holder/Pen

I've been dealing with tiny bits of multicore solder scattered all over my workbench for a really long time. That's why I was initially drawn to Kezat,'s Solder Pen, but unfortunately, it never worked properly for me. So, here's my fully 3D printed Solder Holder/Solder pen, designed specifically for 0.8mm, 1mm & 1.6mm solder sizes. It can be used flat or upright, and even when lying flat, it won't fall off the workbench. They hold a coil of Solder inside, which is pulled out through the "S-bend" hole with some gentle friction to prevent it from falling back inside - also includes a coil winder mandrel. To wind the coil: 1. Attach a variable speed drill and extend 40mm out the small hole in the end of the mandrel. 2. Slowly wind the coil. 3. Loosen the solder coil slightly and remove it from the mandrel. 4. Straighten the 40mm end and insert it through the tip. 5. Screw the tip into the body. 6. Use it (Okay, this last step may be unnecessary!).
