Geoffs Possum Proof Roof Vent
thingiverse
We recently took measures to outsmart those pesky Possums that were damaging our home by letting themselves in through the roof vents and taking up residence. They would cause a ruckus entering our attic at 4 am every morning. Since I built them their own house outside, they no longer invade our home under cover of darkness. We installed 3D printed flywire to keep flying insects out of our house as well. These custom-built vents are held in place by 3D printed clips on either end and middle 3D printed Joiners. Given that we reside in an older home, it was a challenge finding the necessary tools for making measurements because most everything was metric. Our roof vent measures 7.9 x 4.1 inches. To put one up, insert a pre-fabricated 3D-printed roof vent into place and fasten the central Joiners securely. Finally, push in the second vent piece and tighten all hardware tightly to complete installation.
