Geoffs mSATA to SATA adapter
thingiverse
I've been converting all my computers over to SSDs because they run at least 300% faster, and I scored a couple of 128G mSATA SSDs on eBay for under $40. Although they are low-capacity, they work great in laptops without thousands of videos, and the price can't be beat. My adapters measure approximately 50mm x 80mm, so I designed this adapter to prevent those nasty smoke-generating accidents that Murphy seems to take pleasure in causing. Printed in ABS, but any material should do, the screw holes are slightly undersized, allowing mounting screws to tap into the plastic easily. Since the bottom is too thin for screws, I simply added some hot glue to hold the SSD in place. Printed with a 0.3mm nozzle, you may need to scale yours slightly if you have a different nozzle size.
