Geoffs Magnetic Connector

Geoffs Magnetic Connector

thingiverse

Universal Magnetic Connector - based on some cheap 5x5X5mm magnets from eBay. I assembled this working prototype by gluing it together, but using M3 countersunk screws and nylock nuts, with one set of screws slightly loose, would work better - ensuring the magnets fully connect each time. Also, a drop of CRC-808 is a good idea every few months - magic stuff that. Use a hot soldering iron - quickly - to initially tin the magnets, then solder your wires to the magnets everything is assembled in place. *********** MAKE SURE you align the magnets correctly, or you will end up with a magnetic repelling device, NOT A CONNECTOR
